About Sadie
I am a craft artist in Orange County, North Carolina. I received my BFA in Craft/Material Studies from VCUarts in 2019, where I studied ceramics, wood, fibers, and metals. I carry a longtime love of 2D media as well, such as drawing, painting, and printmaking, and often employ those skills in decorating my 3D work. Much of my practice is fueled by the charm of small, perhaps unremarkable things, like glass bottles found in the woods or the flowering weeds that poke up in the driveway. Among much else, I have an immense fondness for thoughtful objects and all things nature.
When I’m not getting caught up in some project in the studio, I may be found cooking, gardening, sharing time with friends and family, or giving a good belly rub to my dog Mango.
